The June roses outside my office window were amazing. Since we chose this place in the winter, I had no idea what would pop up, so this was a pleasant surprise. But then 3 weeks ago, a second round of roses bloomed right on the edge of my office window!
You know that I don't believe in signs. Except the good ones, sort of. I feel like accidental bonus roses are a positive signal that the books I'm writing this season are both sweeter and hotter than ever.
The Dirty Brothers series will be released through September and October. Then in November, you'll be meeting members of the VFFT.
(The WHAT you ask? Haley, how many spiked ice teas did you have last night?)
The Volunteer Fire Fighters of the Triangle - the roughly triangular area formed by Old Hemlock Valley, Cedarville, and West Stoneburg. If you've been reading the Wolfe Mountain Men series, you've heard of these places.
Everyone likes sexy firemen, right? These are also small town mountain men, who fall hard and fast for the women who end up in their towns.
There are also 2 more Surly books coming – one in October and one in December. Then 2 Valentine books, and... a series featuring houseplants. Yes, I'm serious.
So, in answer to your question, I only had one spiked ice tea. And the wine after that? No comment. And don't ask me about the karaoke because my lips are now sealed. But this morning's brainstorming for the second VFFT book is going really well!
