So many plants and flowers

So many plants and flowers

I live in a really interesting neighborhood. Technically it's pretty much downtown Toronto. It's right on the subway line. Yet it's a residential nook with an authentic small town feel.

I grew up in a very small town, and adore the atmosphere. In the summer, not a day goes by that I don't walk along a sidewalk with chalk drawings. (Hell yeah, I hopscotch!)

Many of the neighbors are super into their gardening.

(We are not discussing the state of my own garden today, thank you very much.)

The variety of flowers and plant life is incredible. So as I'm cruising by on my daily walk, sometimes I stop to take a few pics. There are flowers that I don't even know the names of. Flowers I've never seen before. Sometimes flowers that only last for a few weeks.

I like to stop and admire them all. Between November and March, things are pretty gray. I'll need the memory of those bright blooms and endless greenery to get me through the winter.

But sometimes I almost miss them, since I occasionally dictate part of a scene while I'm walking. I hope people aren't listening when I'm writing something steamy. Yikes.

I just hope the neighbors don't mind that I'm showcasing their hard work on my blog and Instagram. I swear, when I post pics of my own garden, I'll let you know!

My Instagram is https://instagram.com/haleytravisromance if you're interested. Thanks!
