August Already?

August Already?

Tomorrow is August. I'm not sure why that seems extra strange this year.

The summer is half over. Which makes sense, I suppose, since my summer series is right in the middle with part 3 available today. But I have a feeling the heat will be lasting well into October this year. Is there such a thing as, "I used to live in the country so just trust my guts" intuition?

It's been a very odd year, but I'm going to try to think of all of the positive things that have happened instead of the negative. I've already published 12 novellas and 5 novels this year. I have two series finishing in August, along with an anthology with two other authors, and a standalone novella all launching in August. I've streamlined some of my writing processes to make things go faster. I've pretty much perfected my breakfast smoothie.

For the record, I've given up on the garden. I try to straighten up the bit out front, but the back has gone wild. Yes, that photo is actually my garden. If you don't hear from me again, the grapevine and slew of mini Rose of Sharon trees have sprouted up and dragged me away. I've thought of making an instagram with just garden photos and inspirational sayings, but that would take time away from the writing. I have so many ideas that need to be cranked out! (Like a rockstar series and MC series. Shhh.)

Let's all be extra kind to strangers this week. People are so stressed, and the heat isn't helping. I hope that you're keeping cool, safe, and mellow.
