Carpet Samples and a Scrambled Brain.

Carpet Samples and a Scrambled Brain.

My last post I mentioned I hate moving. That is still extremely true. However, there is a chance (if all goes well - fingers crossed!) that we might be moving into a very cool house. Something with style. Something that is pretty much pre-decorated. It's earthy, and mellow, and everything I've ever wanted in a house.

Sure, there are some strange things like a bathtub in my office. And the tiny heat vent for my bedroom is in the back of the closet, so how effective is that going to be? But everything is looking good for the grand plan.

Yet… How the heck can I be expected to work on book two of my new series when I really want to be looking at lighting fixtures? Choosing paint colors? Brainstorming area rugs? I'm busy trying to wrap my mind around the fact that we are actually going to have an official library room (sort of).

The logical part of my mind is screaming at me because this is the last month I'll be able to work full blast before the chaos begins. But my brain is spinning with ideas, and I can't seem to slow anything down to focus for more than three consecutive minutes.

So. Yeah.

I was hoping to start publishing every three weeks again, like I did last year. Unfortunately, I think it will continue to be around every four weeks for a few more months, because my squirrel brain absolutely cannot be controlled.

However, if you're enjoying the mountain chalet series, you're really going to love the next Mountain Man series. These men are a bit more grouchy, a little more alpha, and definitely grumpy loners.

I sincerely hope that you're finding some incredible books to read during this last phase of winter. I'm also wishing you good tea, cozy sweaters, and ginger biscuits.

Did you know that ginger increases your circulation, so it helps for those of us who get cold fingers and toes? It's both folksy wisdom and science!

Have a great weekend,

~Haley
